Infrastructure Rocks!

Can you believe that miles upon miles of these 48" pipes run below the City? Amazing! Since I can't seem to get away from infrastructure improvements everywhere I go in Sunset, it was time we investigated these pipes a little closer. My little mother can stand close to straight up in the pipe, whereas I tried to ride the pipe like a hamster, but couldn't budge it. More importantly, what would I do to stop it if it really started to roll?

Lunch Fairy

Today I was able to trade my broccoli lunch for this fabulous lunch. Brings back memories of trading my vitasoy for a capri sun on the playground. It might not be a fair trade, but it works for me.

TV Rules

Posted a little bit late, but still taken on the right day, my tv is finally off the floor!!! If anyone wants to support locally made furniture, check out Sphere Designs. http://www.spheredesignsfurniture.com/

A quick doggy rental made my day.

All By Myself. . .

Sorry, just when you thought it was safe to go online again, it's the first Hidden Pony blog (http://myhiddenpony.blogspot.com/) guest appearance. My dear friend has saved me from posting an exciting picture of a costco polish sausage since nothing else exciting or memorable has occurred today. At least nothing from work that I would like to remember.

Just for you

Is forty minutes of waiting, outside, and in the rain really worth it for brunch? Hell yeah! Despite the weather, nothing could stop us from inhaling beignets and crab cakes at my most favoritist brunch place! Plus I just found out they serve dinner!

Pour que tu m'aimes encore

last pic of celine, i promise. . . . for now. . .

My Heart Will Go On. . .

Countodown to being within 500 feet of Celine Dion tonight begins. . . . .
this is also a warning to anyone getting into my car into the next couple of weeks: you may be subjected to a non-stop, all-Celine-all-the-time playlist.

Oompa Loompa doompadee doo

So it turns out there is both a chocolate store and factory across the street from work. I'm not a huge fan of 70% chocolate, but it's always a good cause to support locally made products and the store does have cute merchandise.

Here Comes the Rain Again

". . .falling on my head like memory, falling on my head like a new emotion." (annie lennox kinda scares me, but I still love this song.) In case you didn't notice, it's still freakin' raining outside.

Do you know the muffin man?

"Do you know the muffin man?" Those were alomost the famous last words of the gingerbread man in Shrek, but not this gingerbread girl. According to it's imaginative and talented 3 year old creator, it's a gingerbread interpretation of Cinderella.

Blame It On the Rain

In opposition to the rain that led to being confined indoors with 6 kids (albeit well-behaved and fun), I decided to post a more cheerful placeholder taken. I figured this was a better picture than a muggy rain shot.

Happy Valentine's Day Charlie Brown

Today was rather eventful, so it was hard to pick just one photo. I started as a personal shuttle for my parents at the butt crack of dawn, hence the photo of the sun rising behind the Bay bridge. Then it was a mini day trip to the Charles Schulz museum prefaced by a plate of bbq bologna at Guy Fieri's restaurant. Fun!!!

Food Bank Fridays

There's always a need for volunteers at St. Gregory's food pantry if you're interested. That means there's also the potential to get kicked around by my mom since she's there every Friday.

Who let the cat out of the Pink Bag?

I have two anecdotes for today relative to shopping in Chinatown.

One: According to non-asians, pink bags only come from Chinatown. I didn't notice until I would go back to the office after shopping in Chinatown, and my co-worker would always say, "Pink bag from Chinatown!" At least our bags always have a nice flower and say "Thank you."

Two: The last time that we went grocery shopping in Chinatown, I tried to convince my friend that it was relatively sanitary and safe. That was, of course before we found a live cat sleeping on top of a cardboard box between the bok choy and open freezer full of frozen fish balls.

Unfortunately, this was a little less eventful. We did, however, end up with at least 4 big pink bags.

Grimace or Giant Octopus?

If you're ever in the Mission and in need of a giant "Tails" from Sonic the hedgehog, or a giant octopus hat looks like Grimace from the back, I now know where to look. Just doing the random stroll for furniture with my favorite Mission resident.

Nothing more fun than to end a 14 hour day with a 3 hour meeting in Solano County.

Princess Party

Our little princess turned 3 this week. Apparently, it's not really a princess party unless you have a tiara, a dress, and even a sash. . . I seriously need to start thinking about buying Disney stock.

We all scream for ice cream, or in Italy, you scream for gelato. I love giant plastic food.

Zoomies Visit the Fat Rabbit Farm

The likelihood of seeing daylight is slim this week, so inanimate objects at my desk will make guest appearances throughout the week. Here's part of my Zoomies collection visiting the Fat Rabbit Farm. Check it out http://fatrabbitfarm.com/

Btw, it's free food poisoning and discrimination at Denny's today from 6am to 2pm. Sorry, I meant there's free grand slams at Denny's today from 6am to 2pm. Crazies love free food!

The Man in the Moon

If you close enough, you can see the moon. Or, I'm so tired I think I see the moon.

Mini Sunset

One thing I definitely miss about my parent's house is the view of the sunset. Having spent all day at work, I barely caught a pic of the setting sun in my side view mirror.
