Doggy Torture

How long can she wait for ice cream?

Oyster Point

The studying is over! Finally, a moment to unwind. Back to our regularly scheduled programming.

One Stop Shop

Grocery list:
oranges-check
toilet paper- check
carpet- check
All of this and more at my neighborhood store.

Tio Chilo's

If you ever feel need a mexican/italian restaurant with chinese chairs, let me know.

Field Trip

Another hard day at the office Friday demanded a day trip up north to wine country. Poor me. . .

Playdate

A trip to the playground, doing homework at the library, and eating lunch in the park with one of my favorite little people is always the best excuse for procrastinating from studying.

560 Mission

While eating lunch outside, someone I know was afraid of losing a shoe or falling into the water. I didn't think 1/4" of water was really that dangerous.

49 Mile Scenic Drive

Did you know that the 49 mile scenic drive was created in 1938 in the City to promote tourism right before the International Expo in 1939? It's route apparently changes, but I wonder if this sign located outside the Ferry building was here 20 years ago before the Loma Prieta earthquake and the demolition of the freeway that once hovered over the Embarcadero.

De Young at Night

11 o'clock at night is not a good time to be wandering in the park in search of a good photo op, but I still managed to take a quick shot on my way home from work.

Krazi Time

1. I really need to stop taking pictures when drivng.
2. Do you really need "krazi" on your license plate for an obviously chinese driver? Aren't we all crazy?

Secret Doors

Saturday was unfortunately another day at the office, but at least I had a brief chance to catch a pic of what I imagine were remnants of secret passage ways into our building. I wish it was a hatch that leads to a twisty rainbow slide for oompa loompas that land on a bed of cotton candy as they pass out lollipops the size of your head. Just a small request.

Happy Birthday

Little Nathan Patrick Lau (name to be confirmed) was born on the first day of Spring. Too cute!

Baby Shower

Self-explanatory. Too tired for words.

In and Out. . and In again

It must be me. I either have a sparkling personality, or people immediately know I'm a bilingual sucker. Just after waiting in line to order at In and Out today, a little friendly Chinese lady asks me in Chinese if I speak Chinese. I help her order even though all she told me in Chinese was, "I want one, plus one." Somehow I knew that translated to a meal plus an extra burger. This of course happens after I recently was convinced by some Chinese lady in a Costco line to buy blank cds for her since the coupon was limited to one per customer. I ended buying dvds and cds for her before we met up outside the store to "exhange" cash for the goods. I'll let you know the next time I get arrested for coupon fraud.

St. Patrick's Day

I found this poor little butterfly putting around on the sidewalk.

School Supplies

My poor little mother is learning to use a computer. Of course you can't go to class without your Little Mermaid pencil pouch and the computer has to be set up on a mah jong table.

Tyler's Ultimate Chocoloate Chip Cookies

Don't these cookies look delicious? They came out pretty well, despite the fact that I spent 2 hours cleaning a 2 cups of melted butter that spilled all over my stove, floor, counter, and clothes. This was an oil spill comparable to the Cosco Busan re-enacted in my own home. Nevertheless, nothing stops my cookie train. . .

Pi Day

Get it? It's officially pi day. as in the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, and not pie. (mmm. . . pie. . . .). I did not celebrate pi day as many geeks did at the exploratorium event, but instead wandered around half moon bay. Luckily, we bought a couple of crabs from local fishers and saw a little ghetto booty.

Friday the 13th

The good news is that I survived this Friday the 13th despite playing with my neighbor's gi-normo black cat that occasionally sits outside my door. Is it considered bad luck if I had to work 'til 7:30 on a Friday?

Nightlife

I have mixed feelings about the Nightlife events at the Academy. Is it really smart to have potentially drunk people around a live alligator?

2nd Wednesdays

Every second Wednesday of the month was the day the cafeteria served chocolate milk and tater tots. I guess the same rule applies today, minus the chocolate milk. Nothing goes better with tater tots than my dad's meatloaf sandwich with a secret stick of cheese in the middle!

Hello Kitty

Did you know that Mac cosmetics came out with a limited edition Hello Kitty line? This prompted a friend to quiz me on Hello Kitty facts, or as my mom would say, Harō Kitti. Let's see if you know the answer.

Why doesn't Hello Kitty have a mouth?
a. She speaks from her heart
b. She appeals to the deaf and knows sign language
c. She lost it making out with Tuxedo Sam\

Which is Which?

Supposedly, one of these photos does not belong. I was asked not to stop taking photos at one of these sites, but I'll leave that one for you to figure out.

Cats and Dogs

I dropped my camera in a puddle today. . .(Gasp!) But it survived!
