Garage Sale

Diana held her first garage sale out in the Sunset early Sunday morning and my mom and I helped out so she wouldn't be attacked by pushy Chinese buyers. My mom turned out to be quite the haggler, trying to get people to buy stuff in order to "help out the poor unemployed student." You'd think she was trying to raise money for Jerry's Kids or something. She also wrote "crap sale" in Chinese so we'd have a bilingual sign to attract people.

Paint and Dumplings

After averaging 5 hours of sleep per night for the past week, isn't the logical thing to do on my day off is paint? I had to drag myself outta bed early on Saturday to volunteer to paint at SOMArts, but it was definitely for a good cause. Once painting was over, we got to stuff our face with dumplings and noodles, and deep fried turnip cake, and green onion pancakes, and snow peas with water chestnuts. And yes, we ordered all that food for just two people. I love how Diana is multi-tasking by eating with both hands at the same time.

Mission Cliffs

Friday was an official playdate at Mission Cliffs. What's cooler than two little people fearlessly hanging 15 feet in the air. So cute!

Also, people can no longer be shocked that I've never been to Sizzler in my entire life. At least 2 people have tried to force me to go, and now I understand why I never went in the first place. The night was eventually redeemed with a tea visit to Samovar.

Room and Board

We stopped by the Room and Board sample sale on our way to stuff my tummy with beignets at Just for You. A perfect way to start a long weekend on a Thursday.

Homework

I didn't have the privilege of seeing daylight today, so I'm dropping a pic I took for class as a placeholder.

No Hot Pot for Me

It's bad enough I missed out on all-you-can-eat hot pot, but I ran into everyone after they were done. Unfortunately, it was after 11 and I was still at work, left to find my way to my lonely car in the dark creepy parking lot.

Lunchbag

Since I've been eating almost all my three meals a day at work for the past week, I've been reduced to bringing my lunch in this handy dandy lunch bag. Please ignore the mess behind it.
