King of Pop

My top memories of Michael Jackson:

1. I had a red Micheal jacket that my mom made. It also came with a glittered, silver glove. I was just one jheri curl away from being a mini Michael.

2. My brother and I played the Moonwalker game on our Sega Genesis. Micheal Jackson would use his special powers to sing "Annie are you okay" and dance kick opponents.

3. My brother rode his bike to a friend's house when Thriller premiered on MTV cause we didn't have cable yet.

4. I was late for elementary school cause I was home watching the "The Way You Make Me Feel" video where he's wearing a blue shirt knotted at the waist and dancing on the car.

5. Tutti, from the Facts of Life, had a poster of the "Human Nature" album where Michael was wearing a yellow sweater vest.

Summertime

Everyone loves the summer, but not necessarily everything that comes along with it. Wednesday was a great day to eat lunch in the park, until you realize there's all these random children running amok in the middle of the day in the financial district. Nowadays, you only see kids and homeless folks drinking from the fountain.

And now, a momentary flashback to 1991 when the Fresh Prince came out with the Summertime song. . . when all we did was spend the summer at Stonestown mall, movie theater, and Tower records

Fake It's It

Believe it or not, I survived today without turning on the tv- on purpose! Yesterday was no meat day, and I guess today is no tv day. Instead, I retried my banana ice cream with milk instead of cream, and the addition of walnuts. Plus, I made oatmeal cookies to make ice cream sandwiches (one sandwich even got traded for chicken karaage). I feel like the only thing that's missing is dunking the entire thing in chocolate. It's Its actually originated in San Francisco in 1928 and was sold when Playland was down by the beach.

We'll see what the taste test reveals tomorrow.

Free Crap

Despite all my skepticism about "used" items on Craigslist, it's sort of become a recent obsession. It seemed to kind of pay off when someone was giving away his West Elm floating shelves. Of course I'm just obsessed with getting it before everyone else, cause I have no idea where I can put these shelves in my tiny house. Who cares, cause I win!

Father's Day

Just another day at the park and I am officially tired. Plus, not a good idea to take pictures below my giant brother climbing a kids' play structure.

Banana Ice Cream

I figured I haven't made ice cream in a while, so we spent the day making banana ice cream and chocolate chip cookies. Unfortunately, some of us look like they spent more time eating ice cream than making it.

Fish Trap

Friday was an early Father's Day with my pops. We stopped in Half Moon Bay at the Fish Trap for fish 'n chips, and then a quick farm visit at Hidden Villas. I like how the pig looks like he's wearing pants.
